Postcode Loterij
Country: Netherlands
Postcode Loterij is a Dutch charity lottery established in 1989. It aims to support various charitable causes by donating a significant portion of its proceeds.
At least 40% of the lottery's revenue goes to over 150 good causes focused on creating a greener, fairer, and healthier world. These causes include environmental conservation, social justice, and health initiatives.
The lottery is unique in that participants' tickets are based on their postal codes, making it a community-oriented way to win prizes and support important causes simultaneously.
Together with its sister lotteries in the Postcode Lottery Group, Postcode Loterij has donated €15 billion to good causes and cultural partners since 1989.
